Butterflies & Moths - Macro!

That's what I also saw until one hour with the lamp in the dark showed these.
I have to try that sometime. I see you shot them with the RF 100L macro. I recently purchased it (from Panamoz) but have yet to use it.

I've got mine last summer, much easier to use than the EF with converter and extension rings.

I had the EF 100 non-L version. Great lens on a DSLR, but the AF was just hunting on my R6 and now my R6m2. The RF version is big though.

More great shots, Patrick. Some of them are rather creepy... dare I say? They do look amazing though.
But I would be very happy to get a decent shot of a butterfly for once. They just never come out right.

I had the 100L, not much smaller. It did hunt more with extension rings or extender to get 1.4 x magnification(and bulkier). RF is also faster(AF)and quieter.

And I haven't even started with bugs and spiders:brgrin:. Thanks.

Most fly away, slowly, slowly is the trick. But at night with a lamp they seem to scare less easy.

Amazing... :yikes:
Try a few cabbage plants on a balcony, you either get caterpillars or cabbage, can't miss;haha;. (dit was chinese kool, eerder bloemkool geprobeerd: zelfde probleem)
And they move very slow, much easier!

God, I'm so glad I don't have a balcony!!! :lolz:

But the slow moving bit is nice. That is always a problem with flying insects... I have a cool butterfly shot though, in flight! I'll go look for it.
