  1. No
I've been so busy that I didn't pay attention to the battery in my iPhone. It was down to 1%!
It's plugged in now and charging. Phew.

That was a first. I always try to keep the battery between 20-80%.

I wonder what happens if the battery would be completely drained?

Than it would need to be put on a charger(it just switches off) and after a while you can turn it on again.

Okay. I asked and was panicking because I had a dumb cell phone a decade ago and the battery was completely drained and dead. I had to go to a shop where they revived it.

.... or not.
Yes, see? That's why I went :yikes: when I saw the 1%.

If your battery is bad, yes!
What's old? I have an iPhone SE 2gen. From 2021 I think. Capacity down to 84%. Apple won't replace it until it goes below 80%. Grrr, because I think it really needs replacing as it doesn't hold a charge nearly as well as it used to.

Apple is very conservative with replacing batteries. I actually read on Macrumors once that if you go in for a battery replacement they give you a new (or refurbished) phone. I tend to take that with more than just a grain of salt though.

That would be bonkers. Wouldn't it?

This reminds me when my tablet battery was at 8%, and that only because I put the thing on standby for two weeks, when I thought I had turned it off 🤦

A drained phone. I had to have a phone revived once years ago. Had to take it to some workshop or other where they had the equipment to do so.
