While looking for new games being played on Twitch I ran across a new release called Lushfoil Photography Sim. In it you explore 5 different areas around the world and take pictures. There are other things to do along with that. I'm not to far into it but can tell you that it has a camera, the games version, with all the settings so you can try your hand at auto photography through full manual and using custom settings. It's a good way to learn how the settings work if you haven't taken pictures on other than auto. I downloaded the game on Steam for $12.00. It's seems to be worth a look. BTW, I'm not advertising for the game, it just looks like a good learning option at a low cost.

I'm on Steam and just looked at the game. It looks really nice.

There is a 20% discount at the moment, so the game is now € 11.19. I thought I would buy it but it's Windows only and I'm on a Mac, so that's a pity. It's also on PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, none of which I have either, but definitely a nice game and interesting for photographers.

I didn't notice that since I'm on a windows computer. I don't have the game consoles either. I can't handle not having keyboard and mouse.

I switched to a XBox controller years ago for Super Meat Boy and never looked back. Although now I have a problem because for the old Intel Macs there was a little hack that made a XBox controller compatible but that hack doesn't work on Silicon Macs, so I can't use it any more. I bought a new controller that ought to work. Steam says it does, but it doesn't. Although it seems to depend on the game. Playing with keyboard and mouse I can do with slow games, but a fast platformer, which I love playing, I just can't play with a keyboard.

I never went with Apple because they are so proprietary and lack any real flexibility. Also the software available for Windows was, and still is, limited with Apple. My opinion of course. I know Apple had the better graphics, but I still went with IBM compatibles.

I was with Apple from the start but that's because my faculty used Macs as at the time they were the only OS that could handle right-to-left and bi-directional writing. It needed a floppy disk (remember those?) to work, but it did work and as such Macs were miles ahead of the competition. And I just always stayed with them.
