In the summers of 1946 and 1947 as soon as school was out we would drive up through New Jersey (and visit our cousins) and go to Cape Cod. We would rent a room or rooms. Daddy was a member of the Marine Biological Lab so he would do research. We would eat in the Mess Hall and in the morning my sister and I would go to Science School.
