They took a photo of us at the entrance, and after it was printed, Lesl bought it and gave it to me.

The site was completely paved with cobblestones
First we saw them making wooden shoes.

And then we went to the cheese shop. Here there was a very steep bridge which Mike had to push the scooter from behind to get it up and then it was a swoopy ride down.

And of course after we saw the cheese demonstration which included the note that the rennet we used was vegetarian now, I had to do the bridge again. I couldn't do the windmill visit because of steps, so they dropped me off at the bus before they went to look at the windmills

The bus driver wasn't there. I asked one of the other bus drivers if they knew where he was and one of them said they would get him for me. And eventually he turned up and we got on the bus. Lesley and Mike got some hot chocolate I think.
Then the bus drove back to the AmaLucia. And we got on just about the same time as the 68 Canadians did that were with a big travel agency together with their travel agents.
Sun deck
They let us go to our rooms right away. I decided to ask (since the boat is not full) if I could have the room opposite Mike since that worked well with Rob in Ecuador. And they said yes.
Lesley unpacked for her and Mike and then she came in and unpacked me and got me somewhat organized before I went down with Mike and had a very late lunch. I had a salad and pasta. There was soup, but it was split pea which is Bob's favorite, and not mine.
The rooms are smaller than the rooms on AmaCello or AmaViola and in my opinion, not as nice. I cannot even get the rollator past the bed to the window without collapsing it and it is my travel rollator - the smaller one. The space between the bed and the bathroom wall is too narrow for the scooter. I can ride the scooter past the bottom of the bed but it is quite close. Lesley said that she would put the extra chair in her room, but eventually they decided that they could put it in an empty room. The bedside tables have outlets where you can plug in a US plug - one of them is 110 and one of them is 220. There is a safe in an overhead cabinet and a SMALL refrigerator under the desk. The under the bed storage is a pull -out bin and it is too small for the suitcase so that has to be in the closet.
TV and dresser - Safe is in the cabinet on the top left
The water they supply instead of being in regular little bottles is in two huge glass bottles which I guess we are to pour into glasses to drink. That does not work for me - the bottles are too heavy for me to handle. There is also a huge gallon bottle of distilled water which ditto - too heavy for me to handle.
There was a stool in the bathroom and my knees are thankful that the toilet is a lot higher. I have successfully taken a shower. The cruise director Frederico gave us supplementary directions which made the shower easy to operate - there are two buttons which can be pushed - one for the overhead shower head and one for the hand operated one. They have a little picture on each one which tells you which one it is. And the temperature control knob has the temperature in the middle marked. The waste basket is a pull out bin and there is also a cabinet to store things which I can almost reach from the toilet.
On the way to dinner, I sent out the laundry that I had worn - the dress I flew in, the nightgown, a top, and all the socks. They were back the next evening.
Lounge
In the lounge before dinner
We had a meeting with Frederico before dinner. We got champagne and little hors d'oeuvres. Mike had one with caviar, and I had black olives
My hors d’oeuvre.
We had the safety briefing from the Captain and we heard from the hotel manager, and then we went to dinner.
I had the
Baked coconut crab cake
Tomato consume with pancake roulade
Lesley had the cream of mushroom soup which looked better. And then both Lesley and I had the
Slow cooked prime beef
and Mike had the sea bream fillet.
Dessert
I had the ice cup Strawberry Heaven for dessert and they brought us some candy too, but we were too full to eat it.
Candy
My TV with the bow camera at night (with 3 big bottles of water)
Lesley had made two reservations for Anne Frank's house, because she wasn't sure if she would have time to do it last night, so she had extra tickets which she thought some of the Canadian group might like, but it didn't happen.
