Weekend Task #34 - The Blues

1 Terry McDaniel
2 Ed Will
3 LeVina

I go to bed about 6 and may be asleep before 8 pm EDT. I am up at 6 or 7 and I am playing on the computer and I want to vote before I have to go to water aerobics at 10 EDT

Water Aerobics--good for you!
The pool is open 6 days a week and there are classes M-W-F. T-Th-S I walk or snorkel. The PT people basically gave up on me last year because for various reasons they didn't think I would make any progress. But I go to the pool 6 days a week, and this time when I had PT, they evaluated me in the pool and kept saying that they couldn't believe how well I was doing. But it was because in the water I don't have to worry about falling. On land, I'm not very steady on my feet.

Talk about close! A lot of good Blues.

And the winner is -

Terry McDaniel with 8 points
followed closely by Rosalie, Levina and RDWP with 7
and Jan1997 with 6

Congrats to the Gold, Silvers, and Bronze, and thanks to all who took part!

Over to Terry for WET 35.
Are you sure about the totals? I expected a different winner.

The results of the Recount - still close:

And the winner now is -

Levina with 9 points
Followed closely by Terry McDaniel with 8
and, just behind, Rosalie and RDWP with 7

Congrats to the Gold, Silvers, and Bronze, and thanks to all who took part!

Over to LEVINA for WET 35.

I was going to go with the Blues as music and I had two items in mind -both in Memphis. I thought the Egg was the Birth of the Blues but it. turned out (when I found a photo that showed the whole egg) that it was the Home of the Blues and the Birth of Rock and Roll. But the other photo of the statue of W.C. Handy the Father of the Blues was not as on point although the background wasn't as distracting.

So since I wanted to do music in my entry, I was prejudiced in favor of a real musical entry. I thought Jan's entry was really cute, but Terry had a real person (and I probably should recognize the person, but I don't).

I picked Ed second because I have seen blue ice and it really is blue. and not due to editing. At one time I could have explained to you why it was blue.

I also loved Levina's Great Blue Heron. I thought it was a great photo - sharp and with appropriate DOF. But I thought his legs did not look completely upright. Which is really nitpicking

Well that was close!

Congratulations to Terry for the #2 spot.
And congratulations to Rosalie and Rob for third place.

I'll first start a new challenge. I didn't expect to win so I have to think on a theme for a bit. I'll be back later.
