There was a tie for most 1st place votes, I have already decided before looking at that and luckily I chose one of the two with the most 1st place votes!

Wow--thanks Jeff W and thanks to everyone for contributing some lovely photos. So I guess I need to come up with the contest for the coming week. Give me an hour or two and I'll get something up.

So, first of all, the new WET is up and ready for posts (animal headshots!). Lavina, please make any edits to correct mistakes on my part.

Second, I'm going to be doing more photo judging for camera clubs this year. So to "polish my game" I'm going to offer my critique of photos for WET every week where my schedule allows. If you don't want to see comments, then skip my next post and tell me to bypass your photos in future.

I am happy with the result, but not with the math. I don't come out with a 3 way tie. I was checking to see if using 5-3-1 instead of 3-2-1 would have resulted in a clearer winner, and I would give more weight to a first place vote. But I didn't come out with the same result even if I used the 3-2-1 ranking. I'm not asking for a recount of anything. And Ed's elephants are a worthy winner. But the math doesn't compute for me. Counting on my fingers, I get one entry with 14 points, one entry with 13 points and one with 10 points.
