Thank you all for your votes, congratulations to the Rosalie, Jeff and Martin. There were all very nice entries in this contest. Also a great theme from our host, I searched a lot into the archives for a suitable picture.

I liked Levina's photo but did not understand it.

My stop sign was in Grand Turk after Hurricane Isaac blew through

I thought inphoto's image really showed the theme in a nice and different way. After that it was a toss up between Rosalie's and Martin's stop sign. I figured I'd give the #2 position to Rosalie because I thought Martin's stop sign was added in post. I'm not sure it's true actually, but I think it is and I couldn't choose which of the two I liked better and so that became a criterion.

My own image was a bit of a cop out, I think. I was rewatching Foundation, the Apple series, based on Asimov's books. And then came this scene where Gaal Dornick (the character) is shown how her love interest was found guilty of murder (and later executed) and she can't take it any more so she tells the computer "Stop. Stop!" So when I saw that I thought "oh, I can use that!"

My initial plan however, was to photograph traffic lights. I was thinking of maybe doing a gif that would show the traffic lights switching from green to red.
