Nice images! Is this thread intended for the types of waterdrop photos as currently shown in this thread or also for waterdrops dropping for splashes?

Here are some 'static' drops in a natural setting:

Good question. I think every kind of water drop is welcome here but this thread is in the Macro forum so the images have to be Macro (or close to it, say).

What we could do is start another, more general Water Drops thread in The Creative Corner?

I overlooked that it was in the "macro forum", came to the thread through the "new posts" list. Sorry my photos are off topic in that case.

It's easy to overlook that, isn't it. I did so too once or twice.

How about I just jump your images to its own, separate thread in The Creative Corner? Then we have a general non-macro water drops thread. I think that would be best.

There we go. We now have two water drops threads: one for the macro folks in Macro and one for the non-macro folks here in the Creative Corner.

Jan, do they have to be drops exactly? I ask because I have a few images with water but they're not really drops like the above ones are.

For this thread we can keep the subject broad, so for example splashes should be fine as well. It is in the "Creative corner" , so we can be creative. Does not need to be close-up either. But it should not evolve into a thread were people start posting lakes, rivers etcetera, unless drops make it really different from 'regular landscape' .

And if you post photos that should not be in this topic, I just send out a message to the forum moderator to get you banned ;):lolz:

That's funny! :lolz:

Nice image, always nice to see what one can do with some creativity, knowledge and technique. These type of images fit a thread like this fine.
Thanks! I will post more later.

I also find myself wanting to start shooting these types of images again. I just might do that! :D

I can't even begin to understand how an image like this is done. Looks great.
Not much to it really, just a flash behind a diffusing curtain, the lightbulb in front of it and then a lot of trial and error with the water splashing. :D
