Warblers

Pretty little bird. With an apt name!
Yes, a lot of the American warblers are named logically, e.g. Black and White Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Yellow-throated Warbler. And they're all gorgeous in breeding plumage (which is why I thought they deserved a thread of their own, though I'd love to see warblers from anywhere).

I'm not entirely sure but I think this is a Savi's warbler? Jason?

Not sure. Savi's are rare in Britain. I've only ever seen one and that was 35 years ago! I don't think this is one though. I think the supercilium (the pale stripe above the eye) is too marked; also Savi's should have a much fuller and darker tail. The pale bill isn't right either. Why isn't this a Reed Warbler? Very nice shot though!

I don't know why I thought it was a Savi's. I thought Obsidentify had identified it as such but I ran it through it again and now it's basically inconclusive because I have two consecutive shots of this bird.
Obsidentify says:
Pic #1 99% sure it is a Marsh warbler.
Pic #2 with just a bit of a different head turn: 71% Reed warbler and 29% Marsh warbler.

Yes, actually it could easily be a Marsh Warbler. The two are very difficult to tell apart, but the pale legs would favour Marsh.
