Almost always along the shore of both Ooster- en Westerschelde but they usually fly away before I'm near enough for a decent photo.

South Island Pied Oystercatcher, another New Zealand endemic. This is a different species from Eurasian Oystercatcher, but don't ask me how you tell them apart; I haven't a clue (other than range).
