Just the regular military patrol to support the local police. It was similar in Rome, Florence, Pisa and Milan. Terrorists never take the day off.

Thank you. I think Nafplion is one of the hidden gems of Greece. Much more relaxed than Mykonos and Santorini. And definitely not as crowded as the latter two.

I travelled quite a bit when I was young, but usually outside of Europe, thinking I could always do that later. And I did, to some extent, but I never made it to Greece... Looking at your and inphoto's pics, I wish I had.

Never too late, just a 2 hour flight and you can feel the heat. .

Agreed, nice continental town, pittoresque, nice cafe and restaurants, just less than 2 hours from Athens. And you can always find a nice beach nearby .
