Child in Time - Deep purple

See the blind man
Shooting at the world
Bullets flying
Ohh taking toll

If you've been bad
Oh Lord I bet you have
And you've not been hit
Oh by flying lead
You'd better close your eyes
Ooohhhh bow your head
Wait for the ricochet

A very good cover from Belarus

Gimme shelter, the rolling stones

Ooh, a storm is threatening
My very life today
If I don't get some shelter
Ooh yeah, I'm gonna fade away

War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

I know, but the red ones live in my mind!

On the other hand when i was at high school in the seventies my shoes had a heel of 5 cms at least, my trousers had to have a bell end larger than my shoes, and on the hips they were so tight that I had my mother double saw the crotch or else I would tear them apart :D

LOL I bought those oh, a decade or more ago for an occasion. Wore them that one time, came home with blisters and never wore them again. They now sit somewhere on a shelf in a closet somewhere. They look nice in a photo though, that's certainly true.

I think my older brother wore similar trousers and my mother was forever putting in new zippers as he always burst out of them. I can still hear her exclaim: "Again?!!"

Y'all probably won't care much for this song, but I kinda like it, even if I was born in Pennsylvania. I was supposed to be a 7th generation Okie, but my mom had other plans. Actually Dad was teaching ROTC at Penn State in Harrisburg, PA. I was born at Carlisle Army Barracks.
It has a great back story, which Arlo shares before performing it.
