We would call that a "polonaise", a dance people do on weddings and during carnival or anywhere else where you have a lot of people celebrating something.
So it's not actually in use as a train station?the que waiting to get into the Michigan Central Station last june when it was opened to the public to come visit.
it had been closed since 1988 and it fell into ruin when the slumlord who owned it, failed to secure it. Ford Motor Company bought the property and put many millions $$ into renovating and restoring it to how it was during the hey day of train travel.

They're playing an instrument? Unless they're all drinking from a cup, but I don't think that's it...

They're drinking schnaps from shot glasses mounted to a board. More difficult if you are shorter. They're playing an instrument? Unless they're all drinking from a cup, but I don't that's it...![]()
no more.So it's not actually in use as a train station?
So Ford's renovation was altruistic?no more.
Amtrak (the public/government corporation for passenger service) has another station that is actually closer to downtown. this station used to be served by Michigan Central, New York Central, Baltimore and Ohio, and Canadian Pacific.
there IS talk of bringing an Amtrak line to the station but there used to be something like 11 or 12 passenger tracks behind the building with another 8 or 10 through-freight tracks. there was a large Coach yard for servicing and maintaining the passenger coaches and some freight tracks for parcels shipping.
Ford bought it for $90 Million and spent an additional $740 Million in renovations...
That's funny. I thought it was exactly that. But then I saw what I thought was a hole and I thought: oh, then it must be an instrument of sorts. They're drinking schnaps from shot glasses mounted to a board. More difficult if you are shorter.![]()
its going to be a campus for some technology teams. since Ford Motor Company is still owned primarily by the Ford family, im sure they just wanted to invest in their city of origin (even though Henry was from Springwells Township, which was kinda sorta Dearborn)So Ford's renovation was altruistic?
