Funny, I was just wondering about that. Very smart looking ship.

Hold on, Dave, you speak Norwegian and Danish?
definitely no, and mostly no...

google.translate is your friend lol....

although Norsk, Dansk, Svensk are all pretty simple. while i wasnt aware that Norwegian Ship is "skip" but i DID know in Danish Ship is "skib". the Danish boat is at the Roskilede (city in Denmark) Vikingskibmuseet. my wife was born just outside Copenhagen (or Kobenhavn. the 'o' is supposed to have a diagonal line through it but i dont have the Danish keyboard set up on my laptop)

USNSCS Grayfox

United States Navy Sea Cadet Ship. it used to be a torpedo recovery boat but was donated to the local Sea Cadet squadron (named for Admiral Forrest Sherman) who lived in my home town post WWII. he was Naval Aviator and flew and instructed. he was in command of the USS Wasp (aircraft carrier) when it was torpedoed in 1942. he had 2 destroyers named for him, one was a class leader. he was the youngest Chief of Naval Operations until Admiral Elmo Zumwalt held the position in 1970.

the Sea Cadets couldnt maintain the boat and it was reclaimed by the USNSCs and reassigned to another Squadron south of Detroit (Michigan)

the blue derrick in the background is not part of the ship.
