All of these are most impressive. Whenever I've tried panoramas I've always run foul of different exposures as I move the camera. The one below is one of my less unacceptable ones, but I'm not proud of it. For one thing, with a sharp eye you can detect the joins. Perhaps it's a discussion for elsewhere, but how do you go about creating and processing panoramas? Presumably a tripod is a must.

I know what you mean, Jack. And I always have missing bits upper left, upper right, bottom left, bottom right. And yes, the joins. This is a nice one though, better than you think it is for sure! Is this where you go to shoot birds? Seems like a place where you would find many species.

Perhaps it's a discussion for elsewhere, but how do you go about creating and processing panoramas? Presumably a tripod is a must.

Looks fine to me. Not seeing any seams.

Ah, I see. Yeah, a bit far away to go there every day...

A bit different as it's taken in the city. It's a view of the river Amstel that runs through Amsterdam (and from which the city gets its name (from Amstelredam)). 33 shots went into it.

The round building on the right is called the Stopera. There is disagreement as to whether the name is a portmanteau (from two Dutch words: STadhuis (city hall) and OPERA) or if it is named after the protest movement against its construction: Stop Opera, which was contracted to Stopera. It's too long ago and I have no idea. What I do know is it houses the city hall of Amsterdam and the
Dutch National Opera and Ballet. Taken from a bridge called Blauwbrug (Blue bridge).

I know this isn't what you guys are talking about, but back in the late 90s my mother found a film camera (point and shoot) which did "panoramic" photos. It did that by blocking a part of the top and bottom of the film so you got a long thin photo. This is one of them (taken in 1997 at The Bath's Virgin Gorda BVI

When you printed the photo out, you had to tell the photo place to just print the middle and they put it on paper which is about 10" long
