the wife and i went to Detroit (2007) for a dinner/mystery play cruise on the river. we ended up leaving the dining room after dinner because we couldnt hear the play too well and just hung out on the deck

afterwards we went back to our hotel and about an hour, we heard the fireworks. neither of us had known there were going to be any so from our hotel window

These are great! I can't even begin to understand how you did them. Like, you have streaks in the sky in the first image? How did you do that?

Thank you, the streaks in the sky are due to the 90 second exposure.

The shutter speed was about 90 seconds I think here, the buildings are lit on a night with different coloured spot lights...
