Those Oystercatchers can show up anywhere. Down here in southern Britain we only ever see them on estuaries, but in Scotland they aren't particular. I've even seen them on roadside fenceposts.

Sounds like the same problem we have in the UK, where struggling workers are priced out of the housing market, while the property owners get richer and richer. There are similar anti-tourism sentiments in Spain—which is sad because I love Spain. I could say a lot more, but I'm already way off topic and mustn't get political.
