Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beaver Creek, Yukon Territory, Canada

its along the Alaska-Canadian highway from Dawson Creek British Columbia to Fairbanks Alaska

it was closed when we went through Beaver Creek. its the last stop before the Canada-US border crossing about 20 miles to the north, and then its another 300 miles to the end, in Fairbanks Alaska

theres a small housing area adjacent to the border crossing where the agents live. there are no services there though.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Catholic church this small.

Looks quite spectacular.
Indeed, quite large monastery, definitely worth the ride through a poor Christian neighbourhood where they collect garbage for recycling. The dirt and smell was unbelievable, luckily there's no street crime in Egypt.

I remember you talked about it before, posted pics. I can't imagine what it must be like to live there. Just horrible.

The Church of Our Saviour, in Christianshavn, Copenhagen. Finished in 1696, but the spire is from 1752.

Work your way up that outside staircase and it’s a fantastic view of the city!

The story goes that the architect of the spire jumped to his death off the top as the spire went the wrong way … all false news as he died in his bed and anyway surely he would have bounced on the stairs below …

What an interesting tower. Or is that the spire, the spiral stairs? It looks unusual. Really nice.
