What's even more remarkable is Norway just discovered 70 billion tons of phosphate rock, plus other minerals like titanium and vanadium in the southern part of the country in 2018. Known world phosphate reserves until recently is 71 billion tons (shared between Morocco, China, Russia and a few other countries), so this is huge for Norway (already one of the wealthiest countries in the world). Phosphate is essential for fertilizer, solar panels and batteries.
