I've got tons of photos from around the country, but what would you use to represent the US. (Or your country for those from elsewhere). I've got some really good scenics from Seattle and Mt Ranier, but they don't say US, they just say Seattle. I've got Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon, Lake Tahoe, coastal Alaska, including whales and glaciers, and of course Oklahoma. But none really say America I don't think.
After going through bunches of pictures this is the closest I could find. And I'm not sure how others would see it. I see it as a symbol of the American Industrial Age, where everything was the biggest and best. Plus it has an American Flag on it.

Windmills and tulips are a good representative of The Netherlands, Castles and Lochs in Scotland, but I'm stuck for the US.

Terry, if this thread is open to other countries as well, how about changing the title into: Pictures that represent your country

And as pics are posted I will add the country name to a tag.

What do you think?

Because I posted an image representative from Egypt even though I'm not from there, and neither from the US, although I was living in Boston and Wisconsin, but we can also stick to our country too!

Maybe change your country to a country?

I think I'd prefer that we stick to our own, but I'm happy to go with the flow.

I think that's for Terry to decide as it's his thread no? But looking at what he wrote, it was "your country", not a country. Me, I'm neutral on the issue.

Throw them out here, wherever you're from. I was asking because I'm looking for a photo that represents the US for an entry into the county fair photo contest. Three of the categories are photos that represent Marshall County, Oklahoma, and The United States.
This is for Marshall County, taken at the Sand Bass Festival, the biggest event of the year.

This is for Oklahoma, people trout fishing on the Mt Fork River in Beavers Bend State Park.
