Photo of the Day!

Wow, I’ve never seen that. Herons breed in rookeries but White Storks nesting together like that? They must have a lot of squabbles up there!
I did wonder whether it was six nests by the same pair. I don't know much about storks' nesting habits Do they build new nests every year, or just add more sticks to last year's nest?

The storks in the park that I visit most years just use last year's nest (on an old high chimney), tidy it up some, add some sticks. So they don't start over each year.

Text from the info board :
Red sandstone with special discoloration rings
Found a few hundred meters from this location by the widening of Lyngbyvej in 1973. Probably originates from Dalarne in central Sweden, where it was formed about 1.1 billion years ago. Glacier-transported to Gentofte during the last ice age. The red color is due to the iron-containing mineral hamatite, which lies like a coat on all the sand grains. By a process, perhaps caused by bacteria, the hamatite was discolored and the characteristic white rings were formed.
GENTOFTE MUNICIPALITY

poorly executed 'drafting' drawing for a platform, for the hockey team (for ME) to use to shoot over the top of the players benches. our rink does NOT have photo ports in the glass, most of my shots are from the stands which IS above the glass, but i want something with a lower perspective.

ive offered the TEAM management to build it myself, provided of course I get to decide who uses is and there is MY photo business logo on the side. itll be secured from any unathorized access before and after the games...
