Oklahoma has always had tornados. We are in the middle of tornado alley. I've never been particular worried about them, but the wife is scared. Our county averages two or three tornado warnings per year. This spring we had one within 5 miles from us, and another about 15 miles away. We went to the neighbor's cellar twice this spring. October and November are also bad months, but nothing so far.

They can be anything from knock a few trees down to totally wipe out entire neighborhoods.

Scary stuff. Having a shelter no doubt gives peace of mind.
