  1. Yes
If this was your shot, would you edit it or leave it as it is?

#1. SOOC. I found on the huge Signature archive of RAW files which are free to use for non-commercial purposes. The RAW file can be downloaded here.

#2 The image appeals to me but it has been cut off blow the knees. X-design image extender did a did it's work well. Incidentally, after upload and processing it presents with 4 alternative extended images

#3 That left me with a tidy up job: Partial perspective distortion + remove power canles - gradient filter to brighten the foreground a bit

Well, I couldn't begin to achieve what you have managed here, but, if I had the skills... I'd not heard of image extender, but its work is almost undetectable. THe two things it didn't do quite well enough are the bottom of the columns of the main arch (these do need roughening up to match the upper bits) and the tops of the side columns where they meet the arches (the wedge-shaped bits don;t look right). I do think that perhaps it made the added arches too tall, though you have managed to shorten them a bit in the last photo. The main arch is now leaning a little to the left, but I'm nit-picking; the perspective is tricky because the photographer wasn't standing dead centre in the road. I'd remove the two dust spots (?) in the sky and darken the white cloud above the arch a little so that it's doesn't look quite so much like a fountain.

But really I'm impressed.

Thanks for the compliment, perhaps I should have the dark colums as they were.
