I have only seen them in a zoo once. I read that they sometimes get blown to our shores during storms but that's about it for these parts I think.

There are hundreds of them on the cliffs at Bempton where these shots were taken along with Razor Bills and Guillemots, there was a few Puffins but alas they were sitting offshore and too far away to get a decent shot.

Really? That many gannets? And razorbills and guillemots and even puffins! I'd love to see that, be there with a camera and a really long lens for the puffins!

You can fly to leeds/Bradford airport from Schipol, it's only 50 mins flight time, then a 2 hour drive to RSPB Bempton Cliffs!..

I know it's not far. I looked into going to the Farne Islands also. Also very doable. Maybe some day...
