It's actually not an optical illusion. That fence is as high as the building is. It took the Samyang 14mm to capture it all.

Here it is from the side, taken with the 50mm lens and with not much distortion.

Actually, after posting the last image I was thinking "hold on, I could never have captured that fence with the 50mm" and I was right. I looked it up and it took 20 shots to make that image. I remember I did this for the Where's Nifty? thread. Look, part of the shots. The last one says 22 of 22. One is the final jpeg, one is a tiff and 20 shots are the raw files.

Maybe, in a way. I think it's more a type of panorama? For one thing I refocused for each shot. I had to take it with the 50mm because I was shooting for POTN's Where's Nifty? thread. The Samyang was the best lens for it, but then you get the heavily distorted view from the first pic I posted of it. The best lens to shoot this with would probably be a tilt/shift lens?
