Butterflies and moths

Nice that you could get in close for that extra detail on the butterfly itself.
The old 300/4L was, is a great lens, especially for these semi macro shots. But too shallow DOF to get everything in focus. But I do like the shot. One of my better butterfly shots for sure.
 
I always wondered why Hairstreak Butterfly's eyes always seemed sort of fuzzy and out of focus. Then I got this photo. Now I know, they are fuzzy!

Edit: I could be wrong, but it might be a common buckeye. I looks similar in some ways.

Levina, I thought that you would be experienced enough to know that you have to put everything in 'AUTO' to guarantee a perfect picture. Ha! (jk) ;)
You know, I don't even remember the last time I used AUTO for anything. It had to be back around '86.
