Yes! Well, no. But one year I could hardly walk the path without stepping on one. Never before or since have I seen so many slugs. So I took some pics. It was a long time ago though, I was still shooting with the Canon 1DIIn.

That's a really great pic, Levina. I've never thought of a slug as being colourful!

Thanks very much, Jason. I was kinda surprised too. It was very early in the morning and light was soft and lovely and I think that's why it turned out so nicely.

Here's another, taken minutes later. Look at the red sides with the vertical black stripes. I never knew they had them!

I can honestly say that I have never seen those markings on a slug. That is, I too didn't know they had them! Another great shot, Levina.
 
I think they're over-rated. All I can ever taste is garlic. That said, I wouldn't fancy trying them without!
 
I will eat most mollusks, snails, conch, clams, ,mussels oysters, squid, and octopus. The Nautalis is in an aquarium - not on the menu
