My dad gave me a camera for my 20th birthday (November 1957) and I practiced taking photos around school. These are some of the photos I took, I remember some of their names. Others I can't remember. Also I was still a little shy about taking photos of people so sometimes I was far away or didn't really get a good portrait.
Going to Finney
Dean Dolliver to the right of Mike ?Cobel? leaving Finney after Governor Meyner's speech. Lady to the right of the guy in the red sweater was on college staff
Helen Stephenson Meyner with her parents
Leaving Finney another day
Heading for lunch
Dave Sweet and Nick Royal going to lunch at Pyle Inn
Ed ?? leaving Carnegie Library
Woody and Butch Douglas leaving the Chem lab. Butch used to take his anatomy dissection to a conference room so we (his lab partner, and me and my lab partner) wouldn't get the benefit of his expertise. I find it interesting that I can remember him, and I have no memory of who my lab partner was.
Alison Smith on her bike outside of Finney. I think she was a math major - she could knit argyle socks after lights out. (Freshman year, girls had to be in bed with the lights out by 10)
Sophy Healy and Sarah Newcomb (Tony's sister) talking to Austin Lamont (who she married (photos of the wedding here) and later divorced
Barb, sitting on the railing of Grey Gables porch, Wayne and another guy
Grey Gables picnic - Nick Royal on the left
Sophie Healy closest to us, and Nicki in the dark glasses - Richie in the red shirt on the right
Frank Miller and Prudence
This must have been taken by my mother because I am pretty sure it is Tank Hall freshman year (fall 1955)
This was Freshman year too - the Royal family, Bill, Nick (with his freshman tag on), Sue, and Margaret Royal, and a man who might be a friend of Sues.
My mother came to school freshman year and checked me and my roommate Winnie Firsht out and took us on an excursion to Lake Eire
