My youngest grandchild's trip was to Tanzania. We landed at night at Kilimanjaro airport on 2 June 2018
Burros at a roadside market
Masai cattle
Our guide Jeremiah stopped and picked up lunch boxes - My granddaughter's was marked - no cashews.
Granddaughter eating lunch
We saw the following at lunch
Red-billed hornbill
Diverse Cymru Kenyan starling
Starling in flight
Whiteheaded kingfisher
White-headed buffalo weaver
One of the few monkeys we saw sitting on a wall with a red partially dismantled light
Then we entered the Tarangire National Park. The first animals we saw were Impala-herds of bachelors and some females but I only got a few photos)
Impala
Then we saw a bunch of vehicles clustered (which we found out usually meant something good to see there) and Jeremiah spoke to some of the other guides, and there were several cheetahs resting in the shade.

The three cheetahs did not like the attention they were getting so they sloped off to another patch of shade.
Jeremiah said that while cheetah's were not one of the "Big Five" (Elephants, Lions, Black Rhinos, Leopards and Buffalo) that sightings were rare, and he had not seen any last year.
A troupe of baboons.

My granddaughter saw a water buck in the distance and we saw a zebra in the distance. We also saw two herds of ostrich (I was surprised to see ostriches)
